The Information Market
2008
On Liberation Day 2008 our volunteers again
manned a booth at the information market on Museum Square in Amsterdam.
We handed out pamphlets and ran the documentary A World Without
Bodies on a DVD-player.
Some people told us their personal experiences in the health care
system. A woman who identified herself as a nurse related, “I put out
crates of medications every day, and wonder whether all that is really
necessary.”
The booth next to us was rented by an organization which
collects money
to treat leprosy in third world countries. They folded early, grumbling
that there had been little public. They were right, and we are now
considering whether this activity is worth repeating every year.
