No. MeTZelf supports the right of every person to access medical and therapeutic services. MeTZelf only opposes the excessive power physicians have to interfere with people's lives. This power is bestowed on them by their governments, among other ways, through:

• State monopoly of medicine;
• Artificially created shortages of physicians;
• Physicians' involvement in matters unrelated to healing;
• Physicians' collecting and storing information about individuals;
  
• Laws and third party payment schemes which divide physicians' loyalty;
• Prohibition of free trade in most medicines.

  

MeTZelf does not take a stand on any particular form of medicine or treatment, provided no force or fraud is involved. Unfortunately, psychiatry consists of little else. Force, in the form of involuntary commitment and/or treatment, is the pillar of psychiatry. So is misrepresentation of the level of knowledge psychiatrists have regarding what are called psychiatric disorders, and regarding the efficacy and safety of psychiatric treatments. MeTZelf does not object to voluntary use of psychiatric services by well and honestly informed consumers.



MeTZelf regards the line between conventional and alternative medicine as political, not contextual. MeTZelf does not take a stand on any specific treatments as long as they are voluntary and their safety and efficacy have been truthfully represented to the consumer.



No. MeTZelf engages in political activism on the grounds of freedom of speech and opinion. MeTZelf does not and cannot give medical advice.
